Initial Consultation
The initial consultation is all about us getting to know each other. It includes a questionnaire that we will go through where you get to share your health history with me. This can include your physical, mental and emotional history.
From there we will discuss the best course of action and what modalities would be the most useful and well suited to you.
The initial appointment includes a 30 minute consultation and a 60 minute treatment.
Acussage
(Acupuncture & Massage)
Combines the familiarity of massage with the efficacy of acupuncture. Great for muscle tension, especially of the back, hips and neck. This treatment is great if you're new to acupuncture and are needle-shy. Combining both modalities is a great way to ease into your acupuncture session and to relax muscle tension.
Cupping is included if necessary.
Biodynamic
Craniosacral Therapy
BCST is a non-invasive, gentle touch healing art that supports the nervous systems ability to regulate.
Through this regulation the body is able to access it's parasympathetic "rest & digest" state. It is in this state that our bodies can deeply rest and can then resolve conditions caused by physical/emotional stress and trauma.
It's great for acute and chronic muscle issues, birth trauma, concussion relief, PTSD, stress, anxiety, and more.
Acupuncture Treatment
Follow-up acupuncture treatments consist of a simple check-in to see how you're doing since your last appointment, tongue & pulse diagnosis and an acupuncture treatment.
This treatment is especially ideal for non-muscle related issues (ie: stress, insominia, PMS, etc) as it does not include massage.
Cupping
and/or Gua Sha
Cupping is a general term used to describe a technique where suction is formed in a cup that is placed on the skin. When the skin is drawn into the cup, tension and toxins are released from the muscles, blood flow is increased and circulation is improved.
Cupping feels really good and is great for many issues including, but not limited to; tight muscles, stress, anxiety and cellulite.
Pre-Birth Acupuncture & Massage
Tailored specifically for expecting mothers at around 36 weeks gestation to prepare them for labour. These sessions include a choice of relaxation or therapeutic massage as well as an acupuncture treatment. Using a few points on the body, acupuncture helps to “ripen” the cervix, helps your baby move into the ideal position for labour and promotes optimal energy for entering into labour. Expecting mother’s receiving these treatments will be less likely to need an induction, epidural or cesarian delivery and are more likely to birth their baby with ease. Weekly treatments are recommended until labour.
Holistic Facials
Acupuncture combined with facial cupping, Jade Rolling and massage.
This treatment is ideal for the 30+ crowd looking to minimize/prevent signs of aging and to refresh and rejuvenate the skin. Organic facial products will be used in combination with this treatment
Mobile Treatments
Available between New Denver and Nelson. A minimum of two, 1 hour sessions must be booked for one mobile visit or a minimum of one 120 min session if just one person is booking a treatment.
This treatment is ideal if you aren't close to Slocan and you have multiple people in your household all wanting
treatments and sessions.
